The Fine Print

    • Consistent referral source from our community partners

    • Streamlined process based on mutual preferences

    • Ability to offer short-term services to women using a sliding scale without absorbing the financial impact

    • Joining a network of like-minded providers … simply put, good people doing good work

  • Here’s a quick summary of what we require for our providers:

    • Fully licensed in the State of Maryland (LCPC, LCSW-C, LCMFT, licensed psychologist, etc.)

    • Training and experience in evidence-based practices to support perinatal mental health and/or trauma

    • Individual liability insurance

  • Our goal is to link the best providers to the women who need it most.

For providers who accept insurance and the clients does not have a demonstrated financial support need, think of us as a free referral source working to connect women to highly trained providers.

For women who are receiving services through our Perinatal and Trauma Therapy Access Fund, providers are compensated up to $140 per session for clients not using insurance benefits for up to 12 sessions. Clients may be responsible for a portion of the payment based on financial need.

Since our funds are paid through grants and generous donations from our partners, we do not contract directly with insurance companies for providers who are out of network.

  • In some cases, yes. Clients using our Perinatal and Trauma Therapy Access Fund receive up to 12 sessions that are paid in part or in full using these resources.

For clients we refer with no financial need, they simply need the best providers in their most vulnerable times. Your clinical judgement supports their treatment length after we make the initial referral.

In some cases, clients may need to transition to another provider for long-term care, and that’s ok too.

  • Any notes or clinical documentation should be kept using the same secure, confidential system you use for your traditional caseload.

For women receiving funding from us, there are a few extra documents we’ll ask to be completed throughout treatment (outcome measures and a client survey). We’ll need a copy of these documents and they should also remain with the client record.

  • Think of us in three ways:

Therapy matchmakers to ensure that women in their most acute and vulnerable times receive services from the best of the best providers.

A funding source to ensure that women are able to access timely, evidence-based care.

Awareness champs working to educate women and support access to peer support and workshops while ensuring that providers are fairly compensated.
